Building Bridges in a polarised world
Marie Friedl, an ambitious student about to graduate with a degree in Management and economics, has made the Tyrolean mountains her home for many years. Surrounded by family and friends, she appreciates the natural beauty of the region, from swimming in mountain lakes to skiing and hiking. Her love of nature is also evident in her volunteer work at Weltacker Innsbruck and her interest in discussions around sustainability. At TEDxInnsbruck, Marie contributes her diverse skills to the team and focuses on event management, social media marketing and finance.
"In my field of interest, 'Balancing Polarity' is a key challenge, particularly when it comes to uniting economy and sustainability. At first glance, they may seem like opposites – economic growth versus resource conservation or individualism versus the common good. However, forward-thinking and long-term solutions are not found in an 'either-or' approach, but in finding a balance that integrates both. It's about building bridges between the poles to discover innovative and sustainable paths forward." - Marie Friedl
